Anne Marie Cairns

2022 has been Anne Marie’s first year as the Principal of St Joseph’s College, Echuca and she has thoroughly enjoyed joining such a diverse regional community. With over 25 years of experience in education, Anne Marie has held many leadership roles in a multitude of secondary schools. Anne Marie is new to Echuca but has a real passion for promoting opportunities for the young people in our regional community.

Anne Marie values partnerships with the business sector as a way of creating a breadth of experiences for all in our community, regardless of background. The interconnectedness of the business and education sectors are avenues for provisioning opportunities and real work experiences for all, but in particular, the young people of our community. She is also keen to contribute to building leadership capacity in other sectors.

Anne Marie has completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education at La Trobe University, a Master of Education at the Australian Catholic University-Melbourne as well as VET certificates in Training and assessment and Work Safety.

Anne Marie is energized by the excitement of the Echuca Moama community and feels privileged to be joining as a Board Member for C4EM.
