About the event
Committee for Echuca Moama is giving small businesses the chance to take part in free financial workshops designed to rebuild resilience and productivity after the 2022 floods.
Thanks to a Business Groups Flood Recovery Grant funded by the Australian and Victorian governments, the project will improve small businesses’ approach to financial management by developing an understanding of their key drivers and how to use cloud-based systems and data, to help make better decisions.
It will be run by Matthew Beasley from OPS Advisory, a qualified accountant with extensive experience in providing financial management support to businesses, from large corporates to small and medium enterprises.
Matthew will help you get the most out of your cloud accounting system. Get hands on, expert financial advice to help you leverage your cloud accounting and make better business decisions.
Limited to 12 businesses and offered on a first-in, best dressed basis, this program will help you with the following:
1. Establish your best Profit & Loss Structure – tailored to your industry and your individual business requirements.
2. Balance Sheet – ensure you have visibility of key accounts and improve your understanding of what the Balance Sheet is for.
3. Understand Cashflow:
· Cash is not king, CASHFLOW is king!
· Instead of managing your business based on what your bank statement says, seeing and understanding your cash inflows and outflows will significantly improve your financial performance, and your bank balance.
· Understand which levers to pull to improve cashflow, and calculate how much extra cash you can generate.
4. A review of your recent business performance and benchmark key ratios versus industry standards.
5. Develop a budget template for FY25, tailored to your business, and starting the new year in the right mindset with clear targets and tools to track them.
These sessions are valued at $1400 per business and will be held on a one-on-one basis with Matthew.
